6 reviews for Books I’ve Read – A Reader’s Journal – Pumpkin
Paula –
I love the ‘Books I’ve Read’ journal. I have just ordered my 2nd one. It is a wonderful way to keep track of what you’ve read, as well as, a way to write a short synopsis of the book. It gives you space to express you ideas about a book, write your favorite characters and any favorite quotes you may find in the book. On the back sheet, I write a little bit about the author. I also use sticky stars to rate the book. My book club loves this idea!
The journal is a MUST for any reader!!

I bought this journal back in 2004. While I haven’t entered every single book I have read since then, I have entered the ones I thought memorable. I showed this to some women at a book club who liked it. One thing I would change is having more blank space as I have many quotes from some books that I write down & find the “how I felt ” or ” where I got the book” lines to be useless. Overall, I have enjoyed using it & am ordering my second one. I have given this as gifts to my bibliophilic friends. Too bad, the journals aren’t available in mortar & brick stores near me. Good stock paper & cover set this journal apart from other journals.

As an avid reader, I use the book journal to chronicle my favorite stories. I love the layout of the entries with room for ample detail so I can always find the book again. I also like how there is a note section with every entry because it allows me extra space to expand on the synopsis or list of favorite characters/quotes I have. I would definitely recommend purchasing this journal because it is high quality and a great way to track your reading.

I found this journal in 1999 at the stand in a car wash and have used it ever since, even there are a few years of absence. I’ve found books that I had completely forgotten I’ve read! What a plus! I’m now buying another as I’ve filled the original.

My sister-in-law just gave me one and so far, I love it! I am part of 3 book clubs and it’s so hard to keep the books straight from one club to the next when they kind of overlap. This is a great way to jot down my thoughts and feelings about each book so I can reference it and not say the wrong character’s name or talk about the wrong plot! I’m going to be getting one for a friend soon.

I’m now ordering my fourth Journal. I always meant to keep a log of the books I read but didn’t begin until I was given my first Reader’s Journal in May 2003 for Mother’s Day. Because I read so much I’ve used only one page per book and used the back of the page for an additional book.
